Platform Manager CPMS (m/f/d)

Essen
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

Would you like to be responsible for the system that runs a European charging network?
EDRI operates more than 9,000 charge points across 11 countries, with a growing high-power footprint on Germany’s motorways and an early lead in eTruck charging. Every session, tariff, roaming connection and charger state passes through one platform: Ampeco, our Charge Point Management System.
You shape how the CPMS delivers it, keep it reliable as the network grows, and become the person who knows it best.

  • Be the CPMS expert our Product Owners build with. You shape how their ideas land on the platform, design the solution with our CPMS partner and own it through to release.
  • Run the CPMS delivery roadmap: sequence work from several Product Owners against vendor capacity, keep timelines honest and make sure every team knows what is coming.
  • Hold our CPMS partner to quality and pace.
  • Partner with Architecture and our integration engineers wherever a CPMS change reaches into the rest of our landscape.
  • Keep the CPMS reliable as the network scales.
  • Own the platform backlog: bugs, upgrades, protocol changes and regulatory requirements such as AFIR and Eichrecht.
  • Be the escalation point for CPMS incidents and own every ticket raised to our CPMS partner, from clear reproduction to closure.
  • Work with IT Operations on monitoring, runbooks and Charger Operations first- and second-level support, so tender SLAs are protected.
  • Review and where needed test every CPMS release before it reaches our network, jointly with the business where the change affects their operation.
  • Run platform configuration to agreed standards: users and roles, tariffs, sites and partners.
  • Make sure CPMS knowledge is documented and shared across EDRI, so it never depends on one person.

Your profile

  • Three or more years in platform or application management, IT operations, or product ownership, ideally on a vendor-provided SaaS platform.
  • Hands-on CPMS experience in e-mobility. Ampeco experience is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of OCPP, and an appetite to go deep on OCPI and OICP.
  • You manage vendors with confidence: clear tickets, firm follow-up, constructive pressure when timelines slip.
  • Comfortable sequencing competing requests and saying “not this quarter” with a reason.
  • Structured, calm and detail-oriented, especially when something is broken.
  • Fluent English is required. German is a strong advantage given our tender and stakeholder context.
